A Facebook scoreboard for the midterms

The new Facebook Elections Dashboard covers Senate, House and gubernatorial races in all 50 states and Washington DC. It tabulates the likes, comments and shares posted about each candidate and also interprets the data in a color-coded red/blue map showing who’s up in each congressional district.

Facebook, which over the last three months counts 22 million people in the US making 150 million interactions about the midterms, cautioned that its new tool isn’t meant to predict winners and losers in November. But the company said “it is reflective of how much voters are engaging with the pages of candidates for elected office.”
