A new report released by the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) finds that telehealth could save the U.S. health care system $4.28 billion by reducing patient transfers and visits to physician offices. The paper highlights telehealth’s role in controlling health costs, improving access to rural patients, and simplifying communication paperwork while also providing high quality care.
