[SOURCE: New York Post, AUTHOR: Paul Tharp & Zachery Kouwe]
CBS chief Les Moonves is rumored to be searching for a partner to make an offer for Univision. Univision has been on the block for more than three weeks, drawing wide interest from several suitors, including private-equity firms working with two of the world's wealthiest Hispanic families who want to expand their Latin American empires into the US. First-round bids are due in about two weeks. Univision serves about 98 percent of Hispanic households in the U.S. through its 62 TV stations, 69 radio stations and Galavision cable network. Among other rumored suitors have been billionaire television producer Haim Saban, Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, Texas Pacific Group and Thomas H. Lee Partners.
