The digital television transition has been far too disorganized to be the product of any conspiracy. Consider how a few major DTV issues have played out over the past decade or so. Pegoraro looks at DTV vs HDTV; TVs without tuners; digital-to-analog converter boxes; reception issues; and the role of local cable operators.
