The City and County of San Francisco strongly supports the concept of a broadband clearinghouse, and agrees with the Commission that a clearinghouse could potentially bring great value to the national broadband debate. San Francisco's comments include a prototype clearinghouse web site San Francisco developed to test and demonstrate the inherent advantages of an open source site with social networking functionality. San Francisco also identifies the FCC itself as the entity best suited to develop and manage such a clearinghouse, and invite the FCC to replicate or adopt San Francisco's prototype as the model for a national broadband clearinghouse.
