Internet Security 101: What not to post on Facebook

Author: Alex Pham

Here's a handy list of seven things that Consumer Reports says users should "stop doing now" on Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn or any other social network: 1) Using a weak password, 2) Listing a full birth date, 3) Overlooking useful privacy controls, 4) Posting a child's name in a caption, 5) Mentioning being away from home, 6) Being found by a search engine, and 7) Permitting youngsters to use Facebook unsupervised.
