Future of Diversity in the Nation’s Media

Federal Communications Commissioners Jonathan Adelstein and Michael Copps will attend a town hall meeting/public hearing in New York City on Oct. 19 to take part in a discussion on diversity in the broadcast industry.

The FCC commissioners will hear from the public and a panel of experts their views on how television and radio stations serve the news and informational needs of people of color. The meeting/hearing will also focus on what impact media consolidation has had on the informational needs of communities of color.

WHERE: Hunter College Kaye Playhouse, located at East 68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenue.

WHO: FCC Commissioners Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein, community leaders, media representatives and concerned citizens.
