The European Commission approved Comcast's deal with NBC Universal. The two companies' combined market share in European countries remains limited enough as to diminish concerns, the regulators concluded. The EC took less than six weeks to decide that the deal posed no anticompetitive threats, which was helped by the fact that Comcast does not have any European cable holdings.
