Two dozen Black and Hispanic Members of Congress wrote to the Federal Communications Commission last week expressing support for the proposed merger between NBC Universal and Comcast.
The letters seek to allay concerns that the proposed merger between the nation's largest broadband provider and one of the four major broadcast networks would impact the level of diversity in the media. The members, some of whom have already expressed their support for the merger, bring the total number of lawmakers openly supporting the transaction to more than 100.
