Sen Al Franken (D-MN) suggested that a wireless exemption to network neutrality rules could leave a significant portion of Internet traffic unregulated. "[Ultimately," he said, " we're going to be all wireless anyway." On the proposed merger of Comcast and NBC: "My fear is if Comcast, which is the largest cable provider and the third largest Internet service provider and the largest landline service provider [merged], why aren't Verizon and AT&T going to say, 'Ya know what? We've got to buy ABC, we've got to buy NBC.'" "[Y]ou'd have a few companies, four companies, controlling almost all the information that everyone gets. ... If that were allowed to happen, 'Katy bar the door.'"
