Patricia S. Harrison, president and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, has made a number of promotions to help her round out her senior staff. Steve Altman, promoted to senior vice president, business affairs. He is the architect of CPB's contract and procurement policies. Greg Schnirring, promoted to vice president, radio. Schnirring will be involved in extending public radio's reach to underserved audiences through digital radio's multi-channel capacity. Brian Sickora, promoted to vice president, TV system development. Most recently senior director, TV system development, Sickora will continue to oversee the development and delivery of CPB's Major Giving Initiative, the station-based initiatives of the Small Station Fund, and the Community Service Grant programs, which distribute nearly $300M to stations annually. J. Westwood Smithers, Jr. was appointment as General Counsel was announced last week. Harrison also announced that David Creekmore, CPB's chief financial officer and treasurer, has resigned from CPB effective November 1.
