ConnectKentucky to Present at APT-CWA Hill Briefing
On Monday, April 23rd, the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and the Alliance for Public Technology (APT) will co-host a briefing on Capitol Hill to underscore the need for policies that encourage universal broadband access and showcase ConnectKentucky, an extraordinarily successful model of stimulating broadband deployment and adoption. ConnectKentucky strives to accelerate the growth of technology in support of community and economic development, improved healthcare, enhanced education, and more effective government, making them a model of success for the United States.
The event is another in the series of programs for the APT-CWA Advanced Universal Service campaign. APT’s recent report Achieving Universal Broadband: Policies for Stimulating Deployment and Demand and CWA’s SpeedMatters report, both of which focus on advanced universal service and broadband deployment, will be available. The event will take place from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the U.S. Capitol, Room S – 115.
Refreshments and snacks will be served.
Please RSVP to Maytal Selzer at mselzer@apt.org or 202-263-2970.
