Sen John Kerry (D-MA) is joining Boston Mayor Thomas Menino in seeking answers about cable rate increases in the city.
Sen Kerry -- the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet -- wrote to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski for a report on rate changes in Boston and other Massachusetts towns. “I hope to ascertain whether rate hikes are specific to Boston or systemic, if the hikes are justified, and what the factors are that can effectively check those rate hikes,” Sen Kerry said.
