The Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT launched a new system for receiving public input on projects aimed at improving secure communication processes for health data exchange. Interested participants can use ONC's Standards and Interoperability Framework wiki to contribute to the Provider Directories Initiative and the Certificate Interoperability Initiative. Through the projects, ONC aims to solicit suggestions on how health data exchange users can access provider directories and digital certificates to ensure that patient data is being shared between authorized parties.
