DINGELL OVERSIGHT LETTER TO FCC CHAIRMAN MARTIN
[SOURCE: House of Representatives Commerce Committee]
Just so FCC Chairman Kevin Martin doesn't feel forgotten, he's received another "Dingellgram" from the chairman of the House Commerce Committee, John Dingell (D-MI). The letter is a follow-up on a July 24, 2007 FCC oversight hearing and asks for replies to a number of questions by Sept 12, 2007. The questions hit on 1) cable set top boxes, 2) Video Relay Services for people with hearing disabilities, 3) "White Spaces" devices, 4) number portability, 5) the digital television transition, and 6) regulation forbearance petitions.
