NAB POSTPONES DTV EDUCATION ANNOUNCEMENT
[SOURCE: tvnewsday]
The National Association of Broadcasters has postponed a press conference, planned for today, at which it was to announce what it called “an unprecedented consumer education marketing effort” to inform TV viewers about the DTV transition and the Feb. 17, 2009, analog cut off. A spokeswoman for the NAB task force heading up the awareness campaign said the press conference was rescheduled after some members of the "community of broadcasters" indicated that they wanted to have a presence and speaking role at the event. The NAB will now hold the press conference on October 15.
