The House Commerce Committee is scheduled to markup the Broadband Census of America Act of 2007 (HR 3919) today (see http://energycommerce.house.gov/membios/schedule.shtml). The Community Broadband Act of 2007 (S. 1853), a bill aimed at removing barriers that prevent cities and towns from offering broadband services to their residents, is scheduled for a Senate markup on October 30.
