The Alliance for Public Technology (APT) is a nonprofit membership organization based in Washington, D.C., which was founded in 1989 to foster public policies that ensure access to advanced telecommunications technologies for all Americans. APT can be found online at www.apt.org.
APT’s “Broadband Changed My Life!” campaign is a nationwide initiative to raise awareness of the life enhancing benefits of broadband technologies and services. The purpose of the contest was to highlight individuals willing to share their story about how broadband has made a profound difference in their lives.
CWA/NETT is a training and continuing education program provided by the Communications Workers of America (CWA) for union members to succeed in their current job, stay up to date with emerging technologies and prepare for career advancement.
ANGELS, also known as the Antenatal and Neonatal Guidelines, Education and Learning System, is providing women with at-risk pregnancies in rural areas of Arkansas access to monitoring and other prenatal care from sub-specialists in Little Rock.
St. Lawrence Regional School is enriching the curriculum of a low-income area where over 50% of the students come from single-parent households with interactive global learning experiences.
