Pappas Telecasting, the nation's largest privately held TV group, said Wednesday that it retained Moelis & Co. to "assess strategic alternatives for the company," which will likely result in the sale of "a portion" of its 27 TV stations in 24 markets. According to statistics from Nielsen, Pappas stations reach more than 16 percent of all U.S. television households. In addition, the company owns or operates television stations in markets reaching nearly 36 percent of U.S. Hispanic households.
