FCC REFORM, DTV TOP HOUSE PANEL'S 2008

The staff of the House Commerce Committee is working on an agenda for 2008 -- topping the list are reforming the Federal Communications Commission and overseeing the transition to digital-only television broadcasting. Other topics on the staff agenda include: universal service reform, network neutrality; access to communications services by the disabled; video competition; cybersecurity; wireless competition; and the second life/online virtual worlds.
