Apple's bid to prevent Samsung from launching any new tablet in Australia until its patent infringement case goes to a full hearing has been rejected by the Federal Court. Justice Annabelle Bennett also denied Apple's request that it be given advanced copies of any tablet that Samsung may launch in Australia until the full hearing, which is likely to take place next year. The case will next go to court for a directions hearing on the morning of November 1. Apple is suing Samsung for patent infringement, arguing the firm "slavishly" copied its market-leading iPad tablet.
