The Wireless Communications Association’s WCA 2008 will convene key players from government and industry to discuss “Capitalizing on the 4G/WiMAX EcoSystem” and feature cutting-edge discussion on broadband wireless applications. The convention will coincide with the scheduled launch of mobile WiMAX services by Sprint Nextel in April and will capitalize both on this historic event and new applications in public safety through a partnership with the co-located GovSec convention. Other highlights will include a financial track led by top industry analyst firm Yankee Group, predictions on the 700 MHz auction results' implications for industry, the continued launch of advanced services in rural areas, and progress for more specialized needs, such as homeland security, E-911, disaster planning and tele-medicine/tele-health activities.
