Juan Sepulveda
Juan is the President's Special Advisor for Inclusive Excellence and the Ron Calgaard Distinguished Professor of Practice in Political Science at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Previously, he was the Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics in the Obama Administration, served as the Texas State Director for Obama for America in 2008, and as a Senior Advisor for Hispanic Affairs at the DNC during President Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. Most recently, Juan was a member of the Biden-Harris Transition Team. He also was a Senior Vice President for Station Services at PBS and was a co-founder of The Common Enterprise, a national strategy consulting firm which grew out of a Rockefeller Foundation national initiative. He is the author of "The Life and Times of Willie Velasquez: Su Voto Es Su Voz (Your Vote is Your Voice)." Juan is a graduate of Harvard College; The Queen's College, Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar; Stanford Law School; and has been admitted to the Texas Bar. Serves on Benton’s Planning and Programs Committee.
