California Digital Equity Summit

CENIC and its subsidiary, GoldenStateNet, in partnership with the State of California, have embarked upon an ambitious middle mile effort as a critical step towards broadband equity. This is part of the historic $6 Billion investment that Legislature and Governor of California are making to achieve this critical goal, with additional significant investments at the Federal level. Altogether, this is the most ambitious state broadband equity initiative in the history of the Internet.

In this unprecedented effort, we are joined by numerous municipal and rural planning agencies, broadband consortia, Tribal Nations, foundations, community-based organizations, universities, libraries, K12, and private sector companies.
