Honoring Broadband Pioneers: From the Digital Divide to Digital Opportunity

Affordable, reliable high-speed Internet service is vital to work, learn, earn, and compete in a 21st century economy. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has been administering multiple grants programs to help Americans meet that end. This webinar, hosted by the Office of Minority Broadband Initiatives (OMBI), will feature telecommunications pioneers who have led efforts to advance broadband access and close the digital divide. Speakers will highlight how far we have come and speak to ways to expand broadband capacity and digital opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged communities.
