How States Can Make the Most of Broadband Funding
The federal government is in the process of allocating an unprecedented amount of money to close the digital divide. Many of these funds will be sent to states who will distribute them to broadband projects.
This is an unprecedented opportunity to expand broadband access for all Americans. States and the federal government must work together and adopt wise policies that make the most of the available funding. The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation has published a report detailing 10 concrete steps states should take to ensure that they maximize the impact of recent appropriations and that broadband deployment is completed and sustainable.
An event to explore how state-broadband funding is progressing, and how stakeholders are working to take advantage of the opportunities and address the challenges that come with it.
