Industry Listening Session on Kids’ Online Safety
A public listening session to learn about current and future industry efforts to promote the health, safety and privacy of young people online.
As part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Task Force on Kids Online Health & Safety, NTIA and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), along with other agencies, are working to identify and mitigate the potential adverse health effects of online platforms on minors.
This session will focus on concrete and actionable steps that industry is taking or can consider in the future to improve the online environment for minors.
The input from the listening session, along with the more than 500 comments already received, will help inform the Task Force’s work in developing voluntary guidance, policy recommendations, and a toolkit on safety-, health- and privacy-by-design for industry to apply in developing digital products and services.
