What is the state-of-the-art in wireless broadband Internet? What are the differences between wireless broadband and other wireless technologies like 4G/5G/LTE cellular mobile and satellite services? Is wireless as capacious, reliable, secure, sustainable, and scalable as fiber wireline solutions? What is the difference between licensed and unlicensed spectrum?

Leaders in the broadband industry, in wireless research, community-based wireless, and tribal broadband networks will address the benefits and dispel the misconceptions about wireless broadband’s ability to deliver gigabit speeds, symmetrical speeds, secure connections, and scalable, future-proofed bandwidth even as the technology evolves and demand grows.

This session is intended to highlight what wireless broadband can contribute to our state’s historically ambitious digital equity initiative, and in particular, for last-mile infrastructure.
