Colorado Broadband Office 2024 Year in Review

The Colorado Broadband Office released its 2024 Year in Review, providing progress updates on the goal of connecting 99 percent of Colorado households to high-speed internet. Some highlights include: 

• The state received 185 applications for the first round of the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment program, requesting a total of $1.7 billion
• The state received 96 applications for the second round of the BEAD program, requesting a total of $649 million
• The Broadband Deployment Board awarded $81 million from the High-Cost Support Mechanism fund, connecting 33,000 households through last-mile projects
