FCC Greenlights Weigel's Milwaukee Buy

FCC GREENLIGHTS WEIGEL'S MILWAUKEE BUY

The Federal Communications Commission has approved the sale of WJJA-TV in Milwaukee to Weigel Broadcasting for $7 million. Weigel plans to complement its other stations in the market -- a full-power CBS affiliate (WDJT), a low-power independent (WMLW) and a low-power Telemundo affiliate (WYTU). Weigel also has clusters of stations in Chicago and South Bend (IN). WJJA was sold by Joel Kinlow who has no other broadcast TV interests.
