Lawmakers all a-Twitter

The microblogging tool Twitter has become a popular way for Members of Congress to stay connected to their constituents on an up-to-the-second basis. Sometimes, however, members have been tapping out tweets, as Twitter messages are called, at times that some might find ... surprising. While it may be nice for the folks back home to receive these you-are-there dispatches from the field, the messages also seem to suggest that legislators are not always fully immersed in their work — or are not being fully forth­coming about who's writing their posts.
