U.N Internet treaty looks like a disaster

[Commentary] A United Nations treaty on global telecommunications appears to confirm Silicon Valley's worst fears of government meddling with the Internet. China, Russia, Iran and other repressive regimes used this week's U.N. sponsored conference in Dubai as a referendum on Internet freedom. They appear to have won approval of a treaty giving the U.N. stamp of approval to state censorship and regulation. The 2 billion people who use the Internet deserve free access to online information. This treaty could mark the beginning of the end of that worldwide freedom. The United States must do all it can to stop it.
