Multi-Tenant 5G FWA
The Multi-Tenant Fixed Wireless Access architecture (MT-FWA) architecture defines how internet service providers (ISPs) can service the tenants in a multi-dwelling unit (MDU) with 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) connectivity and do this cost-effectively. The architecture allows the tenants to share FWA connectivity to the mobile network and an In-building wired network to distribute the service to the individual tenants. This architecture further enables each tenant to be individually managed by the Service Provider. Two architectures are described in this document, to support different network environments, and priorities. The first architecture relies on an AGF, which can be either in direct mode, utilizing a 5G-Residential Gateway (5G-RG) or in adaptive mode, utilizing a Fixed Network-Residential Gateway (FN-RG). In both cases, the residential gateway is service provisioned by the 5G-Core. The second architecture relies on a Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) for an FN-RG.
