Starlink Quietly Introduces $40 Monthly Plan

Starlink is offering a new home internet plan that’s as cheap—or cheaper—than some of the most affordable plans in the U.S. The new plan offers speeds up to 100 Mbps for $40 per month, with no upfront equipment costs. Upload speeds aren’t limited, but are usually much slower on satellite and cable internet plans alike. Paired with recent claims of a significant speed increase, this new plan could make Starlink a viable option for customers who’ve been limited to slow DSL or 4G LTE fixed wireless. Whether consumers can get the new $40 plan depends on where they live. If it’s available, it will show up during checkout or in a customer’s existing Starlink account.
