FCC Workshop on Wireless Disability Access

As part of its continuing effort to develop and implement consumer-focused policies, including disabilities access, the Federal Communications Commission will hold a workshop on May 13 on "Expanding Disability Access with Wireless Technologies." The workshop will focus on:

• Mobile communications access issues facing people with disabilities and the disparities in technology access.
• Ways in which new technologies can offer opportunities to meet the communications access needs of people with disabilities.
• Technology demonstrations of advanced mobile communications.
