Michelle Obama trumps Romney on Twitter
September 5, 2012
First Lady Michelle Obama received rave reviews for her Democratic National Convention speech, with analysts from both parties agreeing that her speech struck the right tone and could help to re-energize voters to support her husband. It seems FLOTUS is social media gold, too, as Twitter saw a peak of 28,003 Tweets-per-minute at the end of her speech -- nearly double the number of tweets sent at the conclusion of Mitt Romney's Republican National Convention speech. Romney's speech saw a peak of 14, 289 Tweets-per-minute. And potential future first lady Ann Romney's speech generated 6,195 Tweets-per-minute at its peak.
