T-Mobile to start targeting switchers at US Cellular and other smaller carriers

T-Mobile isn’t just trying to coax customers over from its three nationwide competitors with its new $350 switching incentive. It’s going after the small carriers as well. CMO Mark Sievert said that T-Mobile will soon offer to pay the early termination fees (ETFs) for customers to leave US Cellular and a dozen other regional carriers -- apparently any operator still offering long-term contracts isn’t safe.
