Samsung, Google Sign Long-Term Patent License Deal

Samsung and Google have signed a long-term cross-licensing deal on technology patents that cover a broad range of areas. The agreement will cover both the two companies' existing patents and those that will potentially be filed over the next 10 years. "By working together on agreements like this, companies can reduce the potential for litigation and focus instead on innovation," said Allen Lo, deputy general counsel for patents at Google.
