Microsoft CEO learns DC on job

New Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella remains a political neophyte who lacks the powerful connections long brandished by his aggressive predecessor. Nadella has trained his sights on the nation’s capital, but he hasn’t written a single check to federal candidates -- unlike Steve Ballmer, who has regularly raised big bucks for President Barack Obama. During Nadella’s first big trip to Washington as CEO, he didn’t even meet with congressional lawmakers. Ballmer, by contrast, was a familiar face to federal regulators and at the White House. He embraced the political game. Nadella is an engineer and not a politician.
