Rep Cummings seeks answers from Kushner, Ivanka on transferred e-mail accounts

House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Elijah Cummings (D-MD) is requesting an immediate briefing from Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner on the transfer of their personal e-mail accounts to the Trump organization, which took place after reports that the two used private e-mail accounts after President Donald Trump's inauguration.

In a letter sent Oct 5 to the two White House advisers, Rep Cummings scolded Trump and Kushner for the transfer, which he said took place after he sent a separate letter asking that they prevent the deletion or "relocation" of records that might have been sent over the private accounts. “If these reports are accurate, they raise serious questions about your actions,” Rep Cummings wrote in the letter. “Although there may be legitimate reasons for transferring email accounts to different servers, neither you nor anyone from the White House contacted the Committee before you took these steps, despite the fact that you had received our letters before you reportedly took these actions.”
