Bringing Back Privacy
The most significant meta-theme about governance in the United States today is that the federal government is dysfunctional and disrespected, but that local governments are responsive, pro-active, effective and respected in building communities that improve the lives of their residents.
Before I begin, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Samantha Schartman-Cycyk, who was charged with managing the Benton Digital Equity Champion Award process this year, and also thank her dedicated committee.
On Tuesday, April 17, the House Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Communications and Technology will hold a hearing – entitled “From Core to Edge: Perspective on Internet Prioritization” – to better understanding of how network operators manage data flows over the Internet and how data is prioritized from the network core to the edge.
