President Biden Announces his Intent to Nominate Lina Khan for Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission

President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate Lina Khan for Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission. Khan is an associate professor of law at Columbia Law School, where she teaches and writes about antitrust law, infrastructure industries law, and the antimonopoly tradition. Her antitrust scholarship has received several awards and has been published by the Yale Law JournalHarvard Law ReviewColumbia Law Review, and University of Chicago Law Review. Khan previously served as counsel to the U.S.

White House Announces Additional Domestic Policy Staff

President Biden and Vice President Harris announced the appointments of additional policy staff who will serve with the White House COVID Response Team, Domestic Climate Policy Office, Domestic Policy Council, and National Economic Council. A couple of note:

To ensure that students receive a high-quality education during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, and to support the safe reopening and continued operation of schools, child care providers, Head Start programs, and institutions of higher education, President Joe Biden encouraged the Federal Communications Commission to increase connectivity options for students lacking reliable home broadband, so that they can continue to learn if their schools are operating remotely.
