Fanhattan unveils radically different approach to cable boxes

Fanhattan unveiled a pay-TV receiver that tries to solve three problems that have vexed the TV industry: fragmented programming sources, incomplete program guides and overly complex remote controls. Unlike the squat, industrial set-top boxes that cable and satellite companies distribute, Fanhattan's "Fan TV" device is polished and rounded like a river stone or something out of a Zen garden. In short, it's a potential breakthrough in function and design.
