Republicans on the House Science Committee demanded documents relating to the Administration's ties to wireless startup LightSquared. “Recent events surrounding the downfall of solar-panel maker Solyndra, which could cost tax-payers approximately $535 million, further emphasize our concerns about this Administration’s perceived preferential treatment toward donors,” wrote the seven lawmakers, led by Chairman Ralph Hall (R-TX). The Republicans demanded all communications from LightSquared to the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of Science and Technology Policy, both White House agencies.
