Dow Jones & Co.'s stock fell to its lowest in two months after a meeting of the company's controlling shareholders heightened concern they will reject Rupert Murdoch's $5 billion bid. "The market is putting a higher and higher probability that the deal is not going down,'' said Robert Willis, chief investment officer of Willis Investment Counsel."

[Commentary] In what was otherwise an interesting and even laudable experiment in participatory democracy, CNN and the candidates let us down in the so-called "YouTube Debate." In only dipping its toe in the swirling, muddy waters of citizen media, greater access, and individual empowerment, however, America's 'most trusted news network' failed to deliver on the promise of a Great Debate by, in essence, failing to trust the American people.

Clear Channel has responded to a senior lawmaker who questioned whether the radio giant was already violating a recent consent decree with the Federal Communications Commission over allegations of payola. Andrew W. Levin, Clear Channel's top lawyer, sent a letter Monday to Sen. Russell Feingold (D-Wisc.), assuring him the company is in compliance with the decree, and that reports of violations have been the result of confusion over legal language.
