Spectrum Launches Gigabit Broadband, Mobile, TV and Voice Services in Cullman County, Alabama
Spectrum announced the launch of Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV and Voice services to more than 1,900 homes and small businesses in Cullman County, Alabama. Spectrum’s newly constructed fiber-optic network buildout is part of the company’s approximately $5 billion RDOF-related investment in unserved rural communities, partly offset by $1.2 billion in the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) RDOF auction. The company’s RDOF expansion will provide broadband access to 1.3 million customer locations across 24 states in the coming years.
Charter Communications Announces $1.25 Billion Investment in Ohio
Charter Communications announced a nearly $1.25 billion investment in Ohio through its companywide network evolution project and broadband expansion commitments. The investment will enable the delivery of symmetrical gigabit and multi-gigabit speeds across the state, rural broadband expansion programs in Ohio and other customer-benefiting projects. Charter Announces Third Quarter 2023 Results
Charter Communications released its third quarter earnings for 2023, reporting that total residential and small and medium business ("SMB") Internet customers increased by 63,000. As of September 30, 2023, Charter served a total of 30.6 million residential and SMB Internet customers. Third quarter total residential and SMB mobile lines increased by 594,000, and Charter currently serves a total of 7.2 million mobile lines. As of the end of the third quarter, Charter had a total of 32.2 million residential and SMB customer relationships, which excludes mobile-only relationships.
Charter Awards $1 Million to 2023 Spectrum Digital Education Grant Recipients
Charter Communications awarded $1.1 million to 46 nonprofit organizations through its Spectrum Digital Education grant program. Charter has committed more than $9 million total to the initiative, which supports broadband technology programs, education, and training in unserved and underserved communities throughout Charter’s service area.
