Spectrum Launches Broadband Network in Jefferson County, Texas Using Rural Digital Opportunity Funds

Spectrum announced the launch of Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV and Voice services to more than 2,670 homes and small businesses in rural Jefferson County (TX). Spectrum’s newly constructed fiber-optic network buildout is part of the company’s approximately $5 billion investment in unserved rural communities, which includes $1.2 billion won in the Federal Communications Commission’s Rural Digital opportunity Fund (RDOF) auction.

Charter Second Quarter 2022 Results

As of June 30, 2022, Charter had a total of 32.1 million residential and small and medium business (SMB) customer relationships, which excludes mobile-only relationships. Charter served a total of 30.3 million residential and SMB Internet customers. Second quarter total residential and SMB Internet customers increased by 38,000 when excluding 59,000 customer disconnects related to the discontinuation of the Emergency Broadband Benefit program and additional requirements of the Affordable Connectivity Program.

Los Angeles Unified School District Offers Spectrum Enterprise Stay Connected K-12 Solution to Families

Charter Communications announced that it is working with the Los Angeles (CA) Unified School District (LAUSD) to help thousands of families who lack robust internet connectivity at home enroll in the Spectrum Enterprise Stay Connected K-12 solution, which is provided at no cost for students. The Stay Connected K-12 offering is part of the District’s broader efforts to help close the digital divide in its communities and make it easier for all students to fulfill their academic potential.

Charter's First-Quarter 2022 Report shows a 185,000 increase in broadband subscribers

Charter Communications reported financial and operating results for first-quarter 2022. First quarter total broadband customers increased by 185,000. As of March 31, 2022, Charter served a total of 30.3 million broadband subscribers. Wireless increased by 373,000. As of March 31, 2022, Charter served a total of 3.9 million mobile lines. First quarter revenue of $13.2 billion grew by 5.4 percent year-over-year, driven by residential revenue growth of 3.7 percent, mobile revenue growth of 40.2 percent and commercial revenue growth of 4.3 percent.
