Strong wireless service revenue growth and cash flow highlight Verizon's 2Q results

Verizon reported second-quarter (Q2) results highlighted by wireless service revenue growth, increased cash flow from operations and strong momentum heading into the second half of the year. Verizon has seen the following broadband developments in Q2:

Verizon begins 2023 with rapid network expansion and the most broadband additions in over a decade

Verizon Communications reported first-quarter results, highlighted by increased cash flow and the largest number of total broadband net additions in more than a decade. Verizon saw a total broadband net addition of 437,000, reflecting strong demand for fixed wireless and Fios products. This result included 393,000 fixed wireless net additions, an increase from 379,000 fixed wireless net additions in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Verizon is bringing internet to Maryland residents as it deploys high-speed, fiber optic broadband internet service across the state. Nearly 4,000 new households and businesses in Charles, Garrett, Cecil, Howard, St. Mary’s and Washington County will have access to Verizon’s Fios network as part of one of the biggest upgrades in our history.

Verizon adds 416,000 broadband subscribers

Verizon Communications closed 2022 with fourth-quarter results marked by wireless service revenue growth and the highest total wireless retail postpaid net additions in seven years. Total broadband net additions of 416,000 was the best total broadband performance in over a decade, reflecting a strong demand for Fios (59,000 net additions) and fixed wireless products. This result included 379,000 fixed wireless net additions, an increase of 37,000 fixed wireless net additions from third-quarter 2022.
