Verizon announced the company has exceeded its year-end target of 14,000 new 5G Ultra Wideband cells sites, providing phone service to parts of 87 US cities, 5G Home to parts of 65 cities and 5G Business Internet to parts of 62 cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and, launching December 9, Athens (GA), Knoxville (TN) and Tacoma (WA).

Verizon and Amazon's Project Kuiper announced a strategic collaboration to develop connectivity solutions for unserved and underserved communities. Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) around the planet. The system will serve individual households, as well as schools, hospitals, businesses and other organizations operating in places where internet access is limited or unavailable.
Verizon reports strong third-quarter revenue growth momentum
Verizon Communications reported third-quarter earnings highlighted by revenue and customer growth as more than one in four Consumer wireless phone customers now have a 5G-capable device. For third-quarter 2021, Verizon reported earnings per share (EPS) of $1.55, compared with $1.05 in third-quarter 2020, a 47.6 percent increase year over year.
Verizon Announces New Digital Inclusion Program in Eight States and DC
With support from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Verizon announced a new program to provide access to wireless broadband data and voice services to underserved communities in Massachusetts and eight neighboring states plus the District of Columbia. Verizon will provide turnkey connectivity, devices and other solutions available to eligible families who lack access to the internet.
